I cannot believe that June is so close! We are at the beginning of the end!!

Here are some highlights of last week. Students have been working so hard with their writing and their sight words. We have written in our journals and learned new poems.

We made frog puppets when we learned about the life cycle of a frog and sang the song Five Green and Speckled Frogs. We will sing it more this week before the puppets come home!

On Friday Mrs. Andrews and Gavin came in to read us a story called Clark the Shark. It was a great book! Thanks for coming in and reading to us!!

Some creations during free play.

Important things coming up:

* Library- Wednesday the 31st. Please get in any books you may have at home!

* June 6- Make Way For Ducklings trip to Boston. Students will need sneakers or other comfortable shoes to walk in. We do a lot of walking. Please plan on sending your child a bagged lunch that day  with bags that can be thrown away.

* June 9- Field day- We will play games on the back field at Francis Wyman. Please send your child in sneakers that day as they will be running around. You can send in an extra water bottle too labeled with their names!!

* June 20- Walk to Simonds Park. You are welcome to meet us there or walk with us. Please send in the form if you haven't already done so regarding lunch. We will dismiss from the park, and students who attend an after school program will be brought back to the school.

As the weather (hopefully!!) gets warmer, students are welcome to bring in a water bottle, labeled with their name to drink in class. Our room tends to get very hot because of the hard top area outside our windows.
